Copyediting - correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling etc. I work on both fiction and non-fiction books and can also edit academic papers, online content, print copy (such as brochures) and storyboards.
Fiction editing - I specialise in crime fiction, thriller and scifi/fantasy, but love to work with authors writing in any genre.
Line editing services - For those whose manuscript needs some extra attention, I will work to improve the flow and structure, remove inconsistencies relating to plot, characters, etc.
Developmental editing (often called structural editing) - This is a full manuscript markup and includes tracked change comments in the manuscript and an editorial report summarising issues and suggested changes.
Manuscript critiques/assessments - This inclues an editorial letter outlining issues and suggested changes to your manuscript and is a ‘light’ version of a full developmental edit (no manuscript markup).
Proofreading - The final check before publication! I proofread both fiction and non-fiction books, online content, print copy and more.
